IQoro used in successful joint initiative in care of the elderly

Swallowing training and improved mealtime concept overcomes undernourishment problems

In the autumn of 2016, the health authority in the Swedish region of Hudiksvall launched a new project together with MYoroface AB, the company behind IQoro.

The goal was to create an effective model to counter undernourishment and improve quality of life for the elderly. The final report – released this week – clearly shows how the effect of corporation between various professional groups can produce an outstanding result.

The new mealtime concept designed for those in care, together with a neuro muscular exercise regime has led to improved swallowing ability, increased appetite and weight gain as planned.

“We hope that the ‘Hudiksvall model’ will take root and spread widely outside of our authority”, says the project leader.
