1. You are waiting for a medical examination and do not want to start training yet
Some of our customers are waiting for a medical examination for a possible hiatal hernia. We advise our customers to start training with IQoro while waiting for an examination. They can then start getting better as soon as possible. Only in exceptional cases do we advise against training with IQoro (read more below).
You do not need a diagnosis to start using IQoro
IQoro works whether you have a confirmed hiatal hernia diagnosis or not. Most of our customers do not actually have a hiatal hernia, but they have been greatly helped anyway.
Few medical conditions can be affected by your training
However, there are a very few conditions when you either need to start your training at a slightly shorter interval, or when you should avoid training with IQoro altogether.
When do I need to start my training with shorter intervals?
If you have any of the following diagnoses, you should start your training with slightly shorter intervals than usual. Start training 3×3 seconds instead of 3×10 seconds. Do this for the first two or three weeks and then gradually increase the time by one second each.
- Tinnitus
- Peripheral Facial Paralysis-Bell’s Palsy
- Whiplash
When should I avoid training with IQoro?
Avoid training with IQoro if you suffer from any of the following conditions:
- Achalasia/achalasia cardia – a rare oesophageal disease.
- Trigeminal neuralgia – a rare condition that causes attacks of intense pain in the face.
- Paraesophageal hernia – less common condition where parts of the stomach end up above the diaphragm, while the lower oesophageal sphincter is below.

2. You are not sure if IQoro is right for you or if it will help you with your problems.
IQoro is a natural treatment that strengthens the weakened muscles that cause your problems. In the vast majority of cases, training with IQoro can do no harm, it is simply strength training for your internal muscles. If your symptoms are due to weakened muscles, you will notice an improvement if you follow our recommendations.
3. You started exercising but have stopped due to worsening symptoms
Many people who start training with IQoro experience changes to their symptoms. This means that your symptoms will be temporarily worse. It is a common temporary effect at the beginning of training, before symptoms start to disappear.
Symptom changes are harmless and natural
Symptom changes are a completely natural and harmless effect of the training, and you get rid of the discomfort by continuing to train. If you stop training instead, the effect of the training will diminish and you will not become symptom-free in the long term. You can only do this by strengthening the internal muscles that are causing your problems.
4. You have had difficulty getting started with your new habit
Although treatment with IQoro only takes 90 seconds a day, many people find it difficult to start the training. We understand why – new habits are hard to maintain. Many of us have experienced the same problem at some point. Sometimes, it is simply hard to motivate oneself to do something hard or new today to get a positive result in the future.
We usually ask these customers a simple question:
Is a future without discomfort or medication worth 90 seconds of your time today?
For most people, the answer is a resounding yes.
In fact, treatment with IQoro is neither difficult nor time-consuming. 98% of our customers find the training easy and in just 90 seconds a day you give your muscles what they need to start getting stronger, so you can feel better.

Our top tips for creating a good routine
Here are some tips to help you establish a sustainable training routine with IQoro:
- Use the IQoro app for daily training reminders, training timers and to track the reduction of your symptoms.
- Train at the same times every day.
- Put out your IQoro so that you see it regularly every day, for example by your coffee cup, on the kitchen table, on your desk, by the sink or in the hallway. There is a greater risk of forgetting to train if you put your IQoro in a drawer or in a cupboard.
- Set alarms or reminders on your mobile (if you are not using the IQoro app).
- Use the training diary that accompanies the manual. New pages can be downloaded here.
